This Privacy Policy explains how VouchX ("VouchX," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use vouchx.health (the "Site") and our advisory-flow matching service (the "Service"). It applies to prospective patients, family members researching on someone else's behalf, and clinic/partner users of the Site.

By using the Site or the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. Who we are

VouchX (vouchx.health) is an independent advisory service for patients considering treatment abroad. We assess clinics; we don't operate them. VouchX matches patients with vetted clinics across treatment categories including hair transplant, dental treatment, cosmetic surgery, bariatric surgery, IVF & fertility, orthopaedics, and eye surgery, and is funded by a flat referral fee paid by partner clinics — identical for every clinic, with no effect on how clinics are scored or ranked.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly:

• Contact details (name, email address, phone number)
• Account credentials, if you create an account
• Health and treatment-related information you submit through the advisory flow — for example, the procedure you're researching, relevant medical history, prior treatments, and any documents or images you choose to upload (such as scans, test results, or photos relevant to your case)
• Information about a family member, if you're researching treatment on their behalf
• Communications you send us (support requests, consultation notes, messages to matched clinics through the Service)

Information collected automatically:

• Device and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring site, approximate location derived from IP)
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8)

3. Health information specifically

Because treatment and medical history information is "special category" data under GDPR and similarly protected under other frameworks, we want to be direct about how we handle it:

• We collect health-related information only where you choose to provide it as part of getting matched with clinics through the advisory flow.
• Our basis for processing this information is your explicit consent
• We do not sell health information.
• We share health information with matched clinics only as necessary to facilitate your treatment inquiry

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate the advisory-flow matching process and connect you with relevant clinics
• Communicate with you about your inquiry, your account, and the Service
• Maintain the anonymization gate — presenting you with matched options before revealing clinic identities, as part of VouchX's advisory model
• Improve and maintain the Site and Service, including analytics on how the Site is used
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your health information for advertising or marketing purposes, and we do not sell personal information.

5. How we share your information

• With matched clinics: Once you complete the advisory flow and are matched, we share the relevant information you provided with the clinic(s) you're matched to, so they can respond to your inquiry.
• With service providers: We share information with third parties who perform services on our behalf,
• For legal reasons: We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of VouchX, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: If VouchX is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we'll notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Clinics as independent parties

Once a clinic receives your information as a match,

the clinic acts as an independent data controller of your information for its own treatment-related purposes (meaning the clinic's own privacy practices and local law govern what happens to your data from that point)

7. International data transfers

VouchX's Service is inherently cross-border: you may be located in one country, and matched clinics may operate in others, This means your information, including health information, will likely be transferred internationally as a core part of using the Service.

8. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
